We are a consortium of civil society organisations from Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Spain, and, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru and Bolivia, and, Burkina Faso and Niger, and India.

L'Action Solidarité Tiers Monde (ASTM) est une ONG de développement luxembourgeoise qui lutte depuis 1969 pour l'émancipation politique, économique et sociale des peuples du Tiers Monde. Elle est guidée par la conviction que des obstacles majeurs à cette émancipation se trouvent localisés chez nous, dans les centres du pouvoir économique et politique. C'est pourquoi nous reconnaissons une égale importance aux trois volets de notre activité : appui aux populations dans les pays du Sud, information et sensibilisation au Luxembourg et plaidoyer politique en faveur d'un changement dans les rapports Nord-Sud.

 

 

Project Partners

Climate Alliance of European Cities with Indigenous Rainforest Peoples” is the European network of local authorities committed to the protection of the world's climate. The member cities and municipalities aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at their source. Their allies in this endeavour are the Indigenous Peoples of the rainforests in the Amazon Basin.
Founded in 1990, more than 1.600 cities, municipalities and districts in 23 European countries have since joined Climate Alliance. Regional governments, NGOs and other organisations are able to join as associated members.

 


GRAIN is a small international non-profit organisation that works to support small farmers and social movements in their struggles for community-controlled and biodiversity-based food systems. Our support takes the form of independent research and analysis, networking at local, regional and international levels, and fostering new forms of cooperation and alliance-building. Most of our work is oriented towards, and carried out in, Africa, Asia and Latin America. 

 

Friends of the Earth-CEPA, Slovakia is a civic association with the aim to protect the nature, advocate social and economic justice, support balanced regional development and strengthen the participation of citizens in decision-making processes.

The association supports and mobilizes citizens and their groups, improves the capabilities of association members, and helps municipalities in the countryside to prepare and execute projects focused on sustainable development.

Friends of the Earth-CEPA act on local, regional, national and international level. Association resides in Ponická Huta with offices in Banská Bystrica and Bratislava. 

 

Crossing Borders is Danish NGO working with youth, motivating and coaching them to see opportunities for dialogue and improvements in the current global challenges of youth unemployment, negative climate change, social conflicts and financial crises. Crossing Borders provides impartial dialogue space and skills training in intercultural communication, conflict management and media for the empowerment of youth, educators and media people to become full players in the present and future development processes of their societies. 

 

Protect the Future has been founded in 2000. Across Hungary PtF support local communities; grounded on the principles of participation, self-organisation, solidarity, the acceptance of ecological constraints and the goal of social justice; eco-politics is making a difference where traditional civil activity and party politics has not. From sustainable farming to promoting fair trade, from research to policy alternatives, from protest to lobbying, and educating we are determined to create a democracy where the widest participation is valued and environmental and social sustainability are guiding principles.

 

Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation (in Czech Nadace Partnerství), is a leading Czech foundation and NGO supporting sustainable development solutions.
It enables people to protect and improve their environment. For this purpose, it distributes grants, runs education programmes and provides professional services.
Our focus is on the issues of environmental protection, sustainable transport and tourism, tree and water protection and quality public spaces. Together with four affiliated foundations in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia we form Environmental Partnership Association (EPA). Over 20 years of its existence, Environmental Partnership has distributed more than 238 million crowns (cca 12,5 million USD) among 2,722 projects in the Czech Republic alone.

L’Association pour la Recherche et la Formation en Agro écologie(ARFA) est une ONG de droit burkinabè qui  œuvre depuis 1997 à la promotion de l’agriculture durable au Burkina Faso .Elle a comme vision « Un développement juste et adapté , réalisé dans un environnement écologique sain et durablement productif » Ses domaines d’action privilégiés sont : (i) la promotion de l’agriculture biologique; (ii)la recherche-action en matière d’amélioration des amendements organiques et de promotion des pesticides naturels) ; (iii)l’appui organisationnel aux  paysans et leur formation civique et technique ; (iv)l’éducation environnementale en milieu scolaire ;(v) L’approvisionnement en eau ;(vi)  l’alphabétisation des adultes en langues locales.

Centro de Documentación e Información Bolivia es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro, democrática, pluralista que desde hace 40 años acopia, sistematiza, analiza y difunde información sobre la realidad boliviana para la construcción de la memoria histórica nacional, análisis crítico de la coyuntura, fortalecimiento de capacidad de acción política de organizaciones populares y fomento de espacios de debate sobre temas estructurales. A través de: preservación del fondo documental histórico, investigación sobre recursos naturales y problemática urbana, procesos de comunicación y capacitación.  

 

FEDEPAZ: Fundación Ecuménica para el Desarrollo y la Paz. Organismo no gubernamental sin fines de lucro de Perú. Fue creado el 6 de abril de 1993 y trabaja temas de promoción y defensa de derechos humanos, medio ambiente y derechos de pueblos indígenas. Se inició con actividades de defensa legal atendiendo la problemática generada por graves violaciones de derechos humanos en el contexto de la violencia política del Perú. Así ejerció defensa legal en caso de ejecuciones extrajudiciales, torturas, detenciones arbitrarias, etc.. Posteriormente, amplió sus actividades a la defensa y promoción de un ambiente saludable y sostenible, así como al asesoramiento y defensa en casos de criminalización de la protesta social  y en la defensa y promoción de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas. Dichas actividades de defensa y asesoramiento legal así como de incidencia se efectúan ante instancias nacionales de Perú e internacionales de promoción y protección de los derechos humanos.   ...". 

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is a leading non-governmental and independent environmental research and advocacy organization based in New Delhi, that promotes informed public opinion in favour of environmental sustainability and sustainable development. CSE has helped to shape policies and build public awareness to bring change in the practice in the targeted areas of natural resource management, pollution mitigation, low carbon development and livelihood security to make growth sustainable and inclusive. 


EcoCiencia, the Ecuadorian Foundation of Ecological Studies, was founded on 23.11.1989. Is a private non – profit organization that has no political affiliations.  Our Mission is “To conserve biological diversity by means of scientific research, the safeguarding of traditional knowledge, and environmental education, giving impetus to life schemes that foster harmony between human beings and nature".   
We coordinate our activities with other institutions and above all, with the enthusiastic creative work of our collaborators and the participation and support of the communities that live in the areas where we work. 

 

 

The Bilingual Teacher Training Program FORMABIAP is an institution run by the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon, a leading bilingual intercultural initial and continuing teacher training and in developing and implementing innovative educational proposals that articulate the pedagogical and cultural heritage with the sustainable production. Their work is based on the value of diversity and the exercise of the rights of indigenous peoples to achieve their welfare. To achieve these goals they have a team of multicultural, interdisciplinary, proactive teachers that are committed to the political project of the indigenous movement work.
